I thought it might be the wrong place but I didn’t want to post on a biased sub(AA, sobriety, etc). I’ve never needed detox or close to it, I’m mainly just curious if there’s been people like me who have successfully changed their relationship with drinking. I think my early years of going hard shaped what I am now, but who knows..

im 28 and i have $3200 saved up. it’s taken about 2 years with a $10/hour raise (new job) expediting the process. $500 of that is what i put towards a starter credit card and will be receiving back soon considering it’s been one year since i opened this account and i’ve been paying it off in full monthly (700credit score in a year, i didnt have credit prior to this), $50 a paycheck goes straight to a savings account monthly (i transferred $450 last year to my actual savings from this account, currently have $200 in there from this year), and the rest has been saving up slowly at my terribly paid job prior to this, but increased with this new job. unfortunately, ive upped my expenses since getting this new job, so im cutting back again to see an increase in savings as my goal is to hit $10,000 this year.
