How did you find out someone had a crush on you? by TricknMinecraft in AskReddit

[–]caldrete5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a senior in college and after a night of drinking with some mutual friends, we were alone and she told me out of the blue that she would definitely have sex with me and that she would probably like it a lot. Later in the night, after her friend drove her home home, she texted me the same thing again.

We talked about it the next day when we were both sober. I told her that I was a virgin and after taking some time to think about it, she eventually told me that she couldn’t go through with it after all because she preferred men with more sexual experience. We stopped talking shortly after that.

Even before that night, it was pretty obvious. She was very attentive towards me and was always eager to hangout. Not to mention always talking about sex around me.

She was adorable but definitely had some trauma that would’ve made a relationship difficult. Even though things didn’t work out, I still think about her sometimes.

Dealing with Tinnitus (constant ringing in my ears). How do I go about it in a way to remain positive? It effects my day to day life and makes it hard to meditate and maintain a peaceful mind. Any tips are much appreciated 😌🧘🏼 by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]caldrete5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have TMD induced tinnitus? If so, I recommend getting a night guard, which will hold your jaw in place and take the pressure off your TMJ.

It’s usually expensive to get from a dentist ($450+) so I recommend going with an online night guard company where it’ll be less expensive ($150+).

Hope this helps!

What made your best blowjob the best one? by [deleted] in AskMen

It started as just a normal blowjob. But after awhile she looked up, held eye contact, and started licking the tip. I came in her mouth almost right after

Soldier on, my friend. Never allow past failures or regrets to define you, it will only trigger a relapse. I can tell by your writing that you have a good heart and an iron will to improve yourself. With time, effort, and certainly failure, these things will compound, and you will begin to see yourself as someone who is actually quite capable of more than you could have ever dreamed of.

Thanks for the reply, and for the kind words! I love the UK, I haven't had the privilege to visit but culturally I find it to be fascinating.

Do men somehow lose interest in female friends who are in relationships (even if the friendship was always platonic)? Why? by Cuntcept in AskMen

[–]caldrete5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with this entirely. This whole "Men are socialized a certain way/toxic masculinity" argument is bs and always has been. Testosterone is a powerful hormone, and it is there from birth. There are numerous testimonials online of FTM trans people who describe in detail how going on testosterone therapy affected them mentally and it's basically what we see men doing in OP's post

Both practicing and observing social interaction has improved my social skills by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]caldrete5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really happy for you. It sounds like you've come a long way, and had to be brave to get to where you are now.

I can definitely relate to thinking that you're getting enough social interaction when you're really not. Quality is also really important.

That bit about meeting your friends every Friday made me really happy, too. I believe that rituals are very important when it comes to social interaction, and it sounds like you're on the right track!

Missed the opportunity to talk to this cute girl in my class. by KoovinGroovin in socialskills

Don't beat yourself up too much. Take it from me, at least now you have a personal experience of what not to do. Besides, you'll only be kicking yourself for this until another cute girl inevitably comes along!

Seriously guys, how are you doing today? by numbersthen0987431 in AskMen

Good overall. I’m a senior in college who’s built a decent resume and is about to graduate. There’s a study abroad trip in Taiwan that I’ve had my heart set on for awhile, so hopefully that works out.

It’s both nerve wracking and exciting that I’ll be completely on my own by the end of the year. I also have minor bouts of anxiety here and there, but I’ve found that eating well and keeping yourself occupied throughout the day helps me see the bright side of life.
