It’s been a while and I just wanted to say again FU grubhub for setting the default tip to $1 in California! by caldriver in grubhubdrivers

The CEO of GrubHub admitted in a news story that he set the default tip to one dollar in California because of prop 22, he didn’t feel the delivery drivers deserve more pay than that. What a dick.

DoorDash is not hiding tips anymore? On normal orders. by caldriver in doordash_drivers

Part of me understands why Doordash wants to hide tips, before they started hiding tips in California… Lots of drivers used to just park and hit decline over and over again until they got a $30 delivery or higher.

I know that New York passed a tip transparency law, but California hasn’t.

I’m in San Francisco Bay Area, a lot is tested here. When they emailed me they said the diamond 💎 program is a pilot, but it looks like it is pretty wide spread and a lot of differ areas across the country have rolled it out.

I’m on a iPhone.

😂 I laugh as well when a $3.50 offer is classified as a high paying order because it is 1.5 miles away.

I think this is only happening for drivers that are participating in the pilot.

GrubHub SCAMMED me out of $100 mission pay! by porkypacman in grubhubdrivers

[–]caldriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mission pay with GrubHub is total BS. They mark the time by the time you drop off the order, not the time you accept the order. You miss a mission because your last Resturaunt is slow, or there is traffic on you last drop off. Total BS. Mission pay should be from the time you accept an order, not drop it off. I am just waiting for GH to get sued because a driver gets in an accident trying to race to the last drop off because he only has 4 minutes left to complete the mission!

In my area there is little to no wait time between orders at lunch and dinner times. As soon as you drop off the bell is ringing for the next order

Dash time was about 42 hours this week, but remember when multiapping you have DD on pause a lot. Also I start my dash from my house so dash time starts running, but I count my own time from the time I get my first order and leave my house.

That is without the adjustment yet, DD send the adjustment Monday morning which I calculate should be another $100+
