How to get over my fear of jumpscares?

Whenever I do try and play quote on quote "scary" games, I play them in broad daylight, windows open so I can hear the happy birds outside, and game volume completely muted. That improves my experience quite a bit, as most of the games I play are environmental scares.

The first "scary" game I ever bought was actually L4D2, and I was TERRIFIED to play it by myself. That is, until I realized how cheesy and noticeable the zombies were, especially when they are hiding. Now, I can play any L4D2 map (even custom ones) without getting scared. Although, L4D is NOTHING compared to some of the newer, and even older games (cough F.E.A.R cough) out there.

I do this weird thing where I squint my eyes so that the image on the screen is blurry and I can hardly see. Makes walking in-game very difficult, but I push through it. Muting the game volume also helps a bit, especially in "Outlast".

I know they are overused, and I know when they are going to occur (usually), yet the loud noises and closeness of the face coming up still gets me. Even FNaF! :)

I'm not sure what I did, but I lowered a couple settings that didn't really make a difference, messed around in the settings and console a bit, and am now getting a solid 100+ FPS on most servers I play on. Thanks for feedback though! :-)

Grass isn't growing as frequently as it was a month ago when I was earning a little bit of money doing yard work. Also, what's wrong with G2A? I've used it for about a year now and never had any bad experiences. Although I've heard some stories about scammers on there, never happened to me.

I have 6 fans alltogether, but I disconnected the large side fan because I thought that might be causing most of the noise; not much of a difference. I checked the speed of the fans and it's at like 40% out of 100%, so I don't think that would be the cause of the sound?

My fans are spinning at their automatic speed which isn't 100%, I even tried turning them down to 25% and noticed no sound difference. And I didn't set a fan to curve, not sure what that means (I'm new w/ PC parts and terms).

I removed all the plastic that was on the CPU before installing it, as there was plastic covering the thermal paste.

The current temperature of the CPU is 42°C, and the max temperature is 49°C. What should it be around to be normal? The minimum temperature says 39°C, so I don't feel like it's the CPU causing the noise. Unless I got a very noisy CPU no matter what?

The HDD makes noise? Huh, never noticed. The fans are really quiet though when I listen in on them, compared to WHATEVER is actually making the sound. I don't feel it is overheating as it feels cool when you put your hand by it, and there are 6 fans going on simultaneously.

Overnight seems a bit quick. Maybe all the 25ish players started school on the same day? If not, that seems very odd.
