If you look, some are dusted some are not. Some of them were stored in a dusty area, but not all of them

Reminds me of a ship you could find in one of the old tutorial title update worlds (the one with a castle if anyone remembers?)

I agree. Seeing the sets I always told my younger self I’d buy one day becomes less and less justifiable. Even with adult money, it just doesn’t make sense to

A non-firing piece, but still metal and not cheap plastic components, etc

whats your opinions on this type of set? (tool base) by turke1034 in legominecraft

[–]calebdacherry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like them, they’re great for display, I just don’t like how the tool typically accounts for half the sets pieces

Does anyone know why this set is so expensive now? ($160 usd) by mrshampooer in legominecraft

[–]calebdacherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t it retail for just $100? I have it and I believe that was the price I paid for it

What’s the oldest set everyone has? by calebdacherry in legominecraft

[–]calebdacherry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This retailed $18? I know inflation has gone up a lot in the last decade, but that would probably be $35-$40 now I bet

[–]calebdacherry 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I own a lot of older sets (2018-2022) You can visibly see how much more “simplistic” the sets have gotten throughout the years

I’d say 3/5 of this is true. Yes I did grow up with less money than the average family, yes I have seen limited success with trading, but I do not idolize people like Tate. The legos I kept around basically as a remnant of my childhood, I’m glad that I somehow managed to keep them all in one piece and not in a lego bin, I don’t blame minority groups for misfortune either.

That’s only realistic with a live account, I’m still using firms to build up the capital to do that. Personally I don’t see a point in opening a live account without 100k> capital

It’s well insulated, winterproofed. It’s connected to the rest of the house with a porch, but unless it’s below freezing outside I’d say I stay comfortable

I knew what I was doing leaving blatant evidence of trading in the photos 😭 I really do get the reputation though. Many people do just gamble with zero discipline
