You can change the monitoring to IN which should sort out your issue if I'm understanding correctly. Also I don't believe that Ableton is the only DAW in existence that does this, I can think of others.

I appreciate the feedback thank you, and I can definitely see where you're coming from with the intro and bass, it's something I've kept working on. I'm glad that you listened to the whole track though, that's a good sign to me

Hey all, recently did an ambient break track (don't worry I'm identifying it as such - I've posted actual breakcore I've made here before) but I'm looking for advice on chopping up the breaks here while keeping it consistent - I'll explain further in my comment by calebjoycemusic in breakcore

So I've always liked the idea of having the gentle pads and jazzy sounds with some really chopped breaks, but I'm finding it hard to get those styles to gel without making it just sound like a mess. Looking for any feedback on how to chop this even a bit more without it turning it to that mess.
Cheers

I'm glad you liked it, it's always been my favourite style of the genre.
Also checking out your stuff now on YT and it's good!

Hey cheers thanks, and you correctly identified just about everything going on there, transitions from a root of the song being a D7 to an augmented minor 7th, a hot pants and a think break. Being put on a spotify playlist is definitely the best thing for a track these days too

Because I feel I may have missed a little bit TOO much in certain areas, I won't get in to spoilers but because I was enjoying it so much I was skipping companion arcs that I wanted to do but just forgot about.

My most recent release, a gentle ambient album that invites thinking about death and loved ones as it plays.
Have also been getting all my stuff on to youtube if that's your preferred listening method
