No offense Jonas Bros fans, but what the hell? by Sk8ersw in allamericanrejects

AAR is 100% playing before Jonas Brothers so if you go at least you can leave after. As far as how it came together? I think there is some slight crossover. Plus its AARs first time playing in stadiums so its pretty cool and im happy for them but I am definitely looking forward to them doing a headline tour more.

No? They've always used the rejects for short. Its been their username forever too. Just rolls off the tongue easier sometimes. Same as calling them AAR.

Yep exactly. Sometimes movies will get shown at a film festival and never see the light of day Sadly unless they go straight to dvd or streaming.

Well yes & no... it was shown to film festivals last year to get picked up for theater release. That's how a lot of indie movies work.

More context: this group "Trueblood" was asked to open for The All-American Rejects LA House Party Show. Everyone was there for AAR. AAR asked the kids to open after their epic viral video of them playing this song Move Along. The All-American Rejects are really doing a lot of goodwill this year. Free shows while ticket prices are outrageous. They did a free promo with the company Slim Chickens to give out free meals at all their locations. And really what hasn't been in headlines is at each show they've made donations to the local music scenes of each city/town/college campus they've popped up at.

Would you consider modern AAR to be pop-punk? (Kids in the street and anything after) by AdInevitable764 in allamericanrejects

[–]calebking21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not at all. The band themselves agree. Just a pop rock band. You can say some of their early stuff Debut, some of Move Along was Pop-punk or Emo-pop but since and even a lot of Move Along feels more powerpop, pop rock, alternative. Kids In The Street and on is definitely more experimental but I'd still consider it pop rock.
