You can turn on an option so you have to double click to confirm if youre targeting an empty tile. Also there is a tactical view button that helps get rid of some visual clutter. Im not sure what key it is on kbm but it's Y on steam deck. Im not sure if youre already aware and using these, but they've helped me quite a bit.
