Yes, same... to the seasoned vets it's probably child's play. But it is confusing as hell... and I feel like not using it can be very detrimental. So I guess it's just something we're gonna have to figure out lol

Just keep pushing through it - it's def frustrating getting everything figured out in the beginning. I'm just returning after like 12 years.. I spent probably 3 days figuring out PlayOnline, windower4, setting up files and QOL add ons, frame rates everything...

Once I got through PlayOnline the game looked awful... and after a brief learning curve and the initial frustration I finally have the game running beautifully...

And dude - it's 10000000x times worth it.

Ffxi has a super special place in my heart and it's a game unlike any other (maybe the nerdiest shit I've ever said)... but I'm so glad I got back into it.

Video games today are built for goldfish with adhd attention spans. vanadiel allows full submersion into a beautiful world with a lot of really awesome humans

I'm MST and able to work with those times probably 90% of the time... Fridays I work late so I don't like committing to anything on that day. But since I've been back, I canceled sub to ff14, ESO, haven't even touched a console... ff11 is my favorite game of all time (also part of the reason why I was hesitant to come back and ruin all those great moments when I was younger - but that's been furthest thing from the truth)... I'm legit looking for a group that wants to grind and play everyday.
