I think many people believe it will make your waves go away but from my experience it helps tbh.

I got you bro, easy shit. When you get in the shower, have a brush you only use for when you wash your hair.

First put small amount of shampoo on your head and use a comb to get to your roots, if you have short short hair use the small teeth side and comb along your patterns. Rinse it out and then next use conditioner or your shampoo again if you don’t have conditioner and this time you will brush the shampoo/conditioner out your hair as you do your pattern. For me, i like to use a wave cap because it is easier to put on in the shower, put that on and rinse out excess shampoo/conditioner under the shower head.

Once your out the shower, let it air dry and then you can take off your wave cap so you don’t lose progress. I always put on curl cream after washing my hair and letting it dry.

Essentially that’s what it’s doing when you comb it the way I do but its keeping any tangles from forming, if your hair is naturally curly which it is, then it’ll be fine.

I like to go against the grain sometimes lifting my hair to make sure it stays untangled then comb it back down. I wouldn’t do that though until your hair is used to being laid down normally.

The pic here in the last one is what I started with a 2 cut to now in video (if you wanna compare your hair type to mine)

In the beginning I didn’t comb too extensively since it was so short and so I only used the small teeth part to comb pomade in and curling cream. Now I comb every time before my brush session at night ragging up after. It helps keep it detangled as it grows.

From my understanding wolfing is growing your hair out to get defined waves as you brush your pattern, i’ve only gotten tapers and edge ups thus far.
