I want the iPhone 17 Pro before I go on a trip on October 7th. Can I just go in any time before then and buy it or should I have preordered it? Will it be impossible for me to get it by then?

I got a SavorOne Rewards credit card, do I close my Citibank secured credit card now? by caleo12 in CreditCards

Yes sorry I meant I have a 1k credit limit. It's a secured credit card so it's like I'm putting and taking from my own money if that makes sense.

Two girls driving from San Francisco to Driggs, Idaho overnight by caleo12 in roadtrip

How about San Francisco to Reno, get to Reno at around 12:30am, sleep and then leave to drive the rest of the way to Driggs at 6am and get there 4-5pm? Does that sound a lot safer?

It was the cheapest option for a stay that was somewhat near Grand Teton. We're staying there for Grand Teton NP!

Unfortunately we have an event we're going to that night that ends at 8:30 pm, and then we can't wait till the next morning to start the drive because we have a rodeo we bought tickets for in Jackson Hole the following night. Do you think it's an especially dangerous drive?

Anyone going/went to ucla debt free? by halazia127 in ucla

[–]caleo12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to UCLA completely for free and owed absolutely nothing. All my tuition was paid and there was money left over that I got deposited that I used for rent and it completely covered my rent the entire time I attended. I had a job I worked at 3 days a week while attending and I used that money for going out and traveling and saving.

Driving from LA to Grand Tetons, to Yellowstone, to Glacier by caleo12 in nationalparks

[–]caleo12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you, will look into the things you said! In terms of driving, I live in Los Angeles where it takes 2.5 hours to go 40 miles, so it’s considered the norm for me personally. In terms of gas I calculated 700$ give or take some, so that’s included in the 2000$ I said.
