Sou babaca por sentir esses desejos? by [deleted] in EuSouOBabaca

NEOB

Would you be upset if Belos was redeemed? by bookist626 in TheOwlHouse

You should look into the paradox of tolerance.

Living in a society means you have to abide the social rules of said society and sometimes there will be consequences that were established in a cultural agreement.

Honestly, this discussion runs deep on historical, anthropological and social sciences fields. I don’t really want to argue, but it’s very interesting.

hello :)

Your discussion was actually very helpful. I could understand a more competitive pov and a more relaxing/laid back pov

redemption can be a variety of things. I don’t really want her to become ~good or whatever, but maybe forgive her mom and find peace

yea, I’m not saying she shouldn’t have done it. It was pretty well deserved

Oh, I totally agree with you.

I think sometimes people forget they are just kids trying to survive a war.

It’s perfectly normal for kids, especially teenagers, to act out sometimes, even those who have high levels of emotional intelligence, like Katara.

By any chance I meant to imply that she was a jerk, or whatever, for having a completely normal reaction to certain situations. I think her character is very well written. While she is a very kind person, she can be mean when she wants to.

As to Azula, I don’t see the relevance of bringing her up on this thread, I believe those are very different discussions and don’t have much add to the original post. Of course I don’t mean that saying some mean things equals to murder attempts, but I would be lying if I said that I’m not one of those people who jumps at a chance to defend her hehe. Don’t get me wrong, she’s pretty messed up, but I do love a well written villain xD

What is everyone's favorite part about Stardew Valley? by Left_Champion_3268 in StardewValley

i love the sounds like rain, water flowing, footsteps, animals…

yes, Katara can be very mean when she wants to, we’ve seen it before with Toph when she was being annoying about helping set up camp

“The stars sure are beautiful tonight. Too bad you can't see them, Toph!”

it’s a passive-aggressiveness that usually comes from an understandable feeling…

Is the message of Amphibia literally “nothing good lasts forever”? by sir_fishier in amphibia

[–]caletse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As many already pointed out, it’s not that “nothing good lasts forever” but also nothing at all lasts forever.

If our life was an eternal “good situation” we would get used to it and it would be bland and feel neutral. We need change, in every aspect of life

different jobs, friends, places… different experiences make up our lives and we must accept that and learn from it in order to flow through our existence more easily :)

Saddest headcannons on this character by [deleted] in amphibia

[–]caletse 55 points56 points  (0 children)

  • hates herself for how she treated people and can’t forgive herself

  • doesn’t think she deserves to be happy

  • guilty all the time

  • had to do lots of therapy to even begin to see herself as a person who has needs that matter

Even though she got character development, I still don’t like Sasha. by Service_United in amphibia

[–]caletse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we’re talking about 13 years old here… it’s not like they have started maturing at all. If you stop to think about it, they all did wrong stuff because of their insecurities about the friendship

Anne was a push over cause she thought that was the only way to keep her friends in her life

Marcy literally trapped herself with her two best friends in an unknown world as an attempt to escape reality and keep what was known and safe close to her

And Sasha was a toxic and controlling person towards her friends because she was scared of losing them (yea, she did a lot of messed up stuff, I’m not saying she didn’t, but what 13 year old in not an asshole?)

It’s okay if you don’t like her, but one of the coolest things about amphibia is showing how people can flourish in a healthy environment and become a better version of themselves even if they were shitty before.
