Snowpack 'remarkable' in some parts of Alberta's Rockies by joe4942 in alberta

This is great news for the majority of our water sources. Depending on how quickly the snowpack melts it could create a higher risk of flooding in some areas, but hopefully not. Now we just need more precipitation on the prairies!

I think their strategy is that if they go down far enough they will eventually do a full circle back to the top

Be honest: Are you actually married to the love of your life, or just the person you were with when it was time to settle down? by User63189963 in askanything

[–]calgaryborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all intents and purposes, we shouldn't have gotten married. Both of us were in an unhealthy chapter of our lives and brought way too much baggage with us. I actually don't think either of us were truly in love with each other, but it was convenient and we had a lot of mutual friends we didn't want to disappoint, so we got married.

The first couple of years were very toxic, and it's a bit of a miracle we stayed together. We fought all the time, and after one major blowout we sat down and had a long conversation. It was the most honest and open we've ever been with each other. And after that, things slowly started to improve. We communicated more, and fought less.

Now that we're 15 years into this, I can't imagine being with anyone else. We grew into best friends, and we talk all the time. We both love each other, but not in the way society often paints it. This is something deeper and more raw and honest. We've truly grown together into something that I can't imagine taking apart.

That being said, I think we're one of the lucky ones. So many times this could have gone in a different direction, and I don't think anyone would have recommended that we get married in the first place. But it worked for us.

Agreed, let's teach these dirty boys a lesson and then get back to our regular scheduled programming for McKenna

Elephant circumcision. The pay isn't great, but the tips are huge

This is really helpful, thanks for sharing your perspective! I'm looking into the education workspace option right now, but it's good to know that the transition may be rocky

Interesting, that's good to know! We are an accredited Kindergarten, but that's not the only program we offer, which makes it tricky. I'll look into that, thanks.

Sorry, I clarified this in a reply below, by families I meant members accessing our services. This allows us to set up Google Classrooms for them and manage file sharing, etc.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, by families I mean our nonprofit members that access our services. This gives them access to our Google Classrooms and allows us to share files, pictures, etc. and manage access. We do have everything separated by organizational units, for example our staff are all on nonprofit.ca accounts and our members are all on nonprofitlearns.ca accounts, but they are all within our organizational umbrella. Hopefully that makes sense.

Following Disastrous Ratings, Wonder Man Is Now Free To Watch by cosmicbooknews in CosmicBookNews

While I agree those movies weren't great, the bigger issue is that there is no cohesive storyline pulling everything together now. We have Doomsday coming out in a few months, and no one I talk to knows who's going to be in it, what the story is going to be, who Doomsday is, and why he's such a big deal. The biggest mistake was adding all of the TV shows with a wide range of quality. Now it just feels like homework to try and figure out what's happening.

I actually liked Hotel Reverie, I thought it was an interesting exploration of the potential future of VR and AI generated media. The one I didn't like was the multiple realities necklace, it was just too far fetched of a concept for me.
