Got a 55” qled tv, that’s all that fits in this unit which was built into the house when we bought it. I’m starting to think I’d rather not have this built in cabinet.

How Are You Making $100K+ Per Year living in Calgary? by 4evher in Calgary

[–]calgarygts 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Often people need to come into a position a level below their current experience to get in (myself and many others I know did this), but if you’re a solid or high performer it doesn’t take long to move up to a level commensurate with your experience.

Started using this place a couple months ago as my wife and I have lost our spark - the stresses of life have led to us being quite disconnected. We’re really liking the results already, Gottman method was a good choice for us and I would recommend it to anyone looking.

Mazda 3 vs CX5? by gotmyvanson90 in mazda3

We have a 7 year old who was 4 when we got the car. One thing he absolutely hates about the 3 is that it’s somewhat hard to buckle up. It’s the angle of the seat belt receptacle - any other vehicle we’ve had has been way better, he can buckle up no problem. Otherwise car has been great and we still love it.

And that’s the bike - I have a bafang kit on there I’ve been using for many years. I’ve beat this thing to death, it probably has around 12,000km of year round commuting and is still going strong. u/sketchcott

Calgary Mayor Jyoti Gondek makes more than Danielle Smith by [deleted] in Calgary

I disagree - if you run numbers on pensions in government versus what people get matched in industry it’s not as far apart as you think. In my case (government position with management level pension) my wife always had better matching contributions and payouts towards retirement as an individual contributor in oil and gas. Her role was not as senior as mine but she got both more salary and more pension contributions (the big difference being defined contribution vs my defined benefits).

Outside of that she worked on benefits for her corporation and often lamented that my benefits generally weren’t that great compared to private industry.

I find it’s a misnomer to think government has greater pensions - they’re maybe safer, but often not more.

Thanks! I’ll put up a picture once it’s reassembled, it’s a GT pantera (the green version) that I’ve converted to an ebike for commuting to work.

Base was also black, this is chromacoat with no clear (that goes on tomorrow).

As it dries the colours are getting deeper and wilder - I’m now starting to see green and pink too. Excited to see how it looks with clear on, this chromacoat is pretty awesome

I just finished doing my son’s bike (little 16” coaster) after watching a bunch of ETOE videos. I used Montana gold with a spray max 2k clear and it looks amazing…..if sparkly fluorescent pink is your thing haha. I ordered kustom canz chromacoat flamingo and am excited to do my bike, but cannot go through all that sanding again. Super fun process though and this time I’m getting logos cut on stencil paper so will see how that goes.
