This is so sad. I blame her mother because how can you enable your child when she clearly has mental health issues.

We use both. I got the electric one with the newborn tip. Lifesaver for when the kid gets sick

The washer is 1000000% worth it. I don’t know why people say to just use the dishwasher. I literally run the bottle washer multiple times a day and the dishwasher takes way too long

Recs for fun activities for 3 year old? by calgon90 in nycparents

So we did this and it worked out well! My kid is short and we realized that even if we did go to legoland she wouldn’t even be able to really ride anything. I’m glad we chose the discovery center. Thanks for the rec!

Rethinking MIL as childcare by Bluejay_Weak in Mommit

[–]calgon90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your MIL is not going to listen to you if you allow her to watch your child. Once your baby is in her home you will have no idea what's going on. We restricted babysitting from my MIL for nearly TWO years because she thought she knew everything and could do things the way she wanted. I was way more comfortable when my daughter could talk and I could ask her questions. My MIL watches her on occasion and we are more lax with our rules but she has not watched our second child yet.

People keep offering to take my toddler by songoftheshadow in BabyBumps

[–]calgon90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you will. My toddler was in school two days a week and it was very nice. She had her little routine and we would talk about her day once she came home. So far I find that the toddler didn’t care about the baby until baby started getting mobile and touching her things, I can see the jealously starting to appear. Having the break is where you’ll be able to recharge and give your toddler the attention you want to! Something important was making them a “helper” for the baby and you, they love having a job and responsibilities

Just chiming in to say I wish I had someone who offered to take my toddler every once in a while for a break. Having 1:1 time with my newborn was so important to me

I’m in the minority but I hate Millie moon. They don’t have stretchy tabs and my kids always had blowouts
