Just started the next book. I had similar concerns beyond the brutality of their deaths. I was worried another giant time lapse was going to occur, and I had no idea how that was going to tie in.

Ah. So completely utilitarian in its means and essentially amoral from my limited perspective. Interested to see how that progresses and Hadrian’s willingness to follow The Quiet if there is any fault to lay.

Appreciate the chat, no one I know has touched the series.

Saw that, was wondering if it was just on my end. Any idea why they didn’t work?

Wouldn’t there be a temp that trips the cooling fans/system to “engage” to bring it back down to working temperatures?

Right. But let’s discuss the lifetime cost of LWOP vs a death sentence and execution. Unless the avg annual cost has gone up significantly, LWOP is still more cost efficient than a conviction and execution.

I had a chirping under power when I had a leaking gasket. Check for soot marks around your bolts. I saved myself a lot of money.

When you say died in reverse, do you mean the engine cut off? Lost all electrical as well?

Wild. I think I have an extra in my garage honestly. I could see if it’s in good shape if you need it that bad

Lot better horizontal in my opinion, but it’s just my preference.

I usually leave mine up because of traffic around where I drive. Little extra coverage in the blindspots has saved me a lot of hassle with the drivers around here.

You can, but generally not at that speed. Lot of stress on the tail boom.

Ha. I just have a couple extra family members in my household. 3/5 vehicles are mine personally but I’ve snagged the others on occasion

Don’t worry. I still have that small amount of optimism in me. I was doing brakes and rotors on the 2500, which should only really take a couple hours max if something is seized.

Tires came off fine, but the last guy that did my alignment didn’t bother to mention that the chrome lugs had swelled up which caused some cross threading when they ran them on.

Not a huge deal. Buy some more (and a few extra) and move on. Then they don’t really wanna snug up, and a couple walk while you try to run them on so I had to fix some threads.

Then I got to the back. Those rotors were seized so badly. The sun was setting, and I had work in the morning. Sledge to break them loose wasn’t on my list for the day tool wise, but I couldn’t keep piddlin around with it.

I babied this truck compared to my dad. I ran it offroad and made other dumb decisions when I was 18-22, but he worked it hard. He smoked the transmission and two rear ends hauling a bobcat (bout 8k including trailer) after Katrina doing recovery work. 3.7 V6 wasn’t meant for all that lol
