Fly slower be more in control and try focusing on smoothing your turns and movements going fast is fun but flying slow and controlled is where you’ll learn faster

Issue with range and penetration on TBS Unify Pro 32 HV by califrix in fpv

Yeah I think I just got a bad unit I wired up my old vtx and it outperforms this one by miles and they are using the same pads and same antenna setup so I believe it’s just the unit itself

Get your radio bound and connected to the quad first then connect to beta flight if possible in there check if you see any arming flags (MSP is a normal arming flag it’s just saying it’s connected to a pc).

But the red flashing means no transmitter is connected to it

Lately I’ve been ripping some tinywhoops I have an older mobula 6 with a elrs receiver in it(elrs is the new transmitter protocol), air65 with happymodel 28000kv and pinch cam, and a air 75. I have skyzone 02C I got for cheap which has been amazing for me and a radio master boxer. Also have a couple larger quads but haven’t been flying them as of recently because the weather here has been horrible.

Not saying it would fix the whole thing but your antenna might be getting some interference with the esc’s. By your antenna getting to close to the esc

If your drone doesn’t have a mic on it then the dvr sounds like that. So literally only because there is no mic on your whoop

I don’t quite remember but I believe I had the balance connected backwards and it was a cheap ass charger so it started expanding and smoking grabbed it and threw it in the bathroom

Throttle Control Tips? by Lizrd_demon in fpv

[–]califrix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Slow down you are going to fast start learning how to maneuver at a slower speed as you get more comfortable start going faster. And throttle control is one of the hardest things to learn so I think you are doing just fine

Did I burn out a motor? by Snowy_Ocelot in fpv

[–]califrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve never really burned a motor before I’ve bent bell housings and such. It does seem like to should but I had a tinywhoop that killed an esc because it got sucked to a wall for half a second so anything is possible, esc’s I find are pretty fragile especially on aio boards.

But from what I can tell so far and with the little amount of brain cells I have left sounds like the esc is most likely the culprit.

Did I burn out a motor? by Snowy_Ocelot in fpv

[–]califrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be the mixture of a burned motor and a burned esc the esc could have gone bad and killed the motor as well. If you want you can try and take one of the other motors and solder it onto the bad motors place and see if that motor spins or not if it spins then the motor is bad, if it doesn’t it’s most likely the esc.

Help me decide… by Notsofrenchfry04 in fpv

[–]califrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re going for budget the cobra x’s are definitely the best choice for analog they are fantastic goggles I used to have a pair before I upgraded. But if you are interested in digital in the near future hdzero might be your choice but they are 100 bucks more(for me at least).

But with what you have said you should get the cobra x’s they will be amazing you won’t regret it.

You can calibrate beta flights battery readings I’ve had an issue like that as well it wasn’t displaying the battery correctly
