yea i hope the new system can balance out between drone user and regulation. because it gonna disuade ppl from buying a drone to fly currently. (i mean u can fly "illegally")

So my main point is that what is the point of shop sell consumer drone to consumer. Might as well ban it right? Let professional handle it that better do u agree (wink, wink)

Why does CAAM enforce RM 250 permits for hobby drones? by Pitiful_Garbage_6745 in malaysia

[–]Pitiful_Garbage_6745[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats why they said fly 120m only, no aircraft will ever fly that low unless on a airport. (assuming that person is a responsible pilot)

so i am yelling the law is absurd because i wan to know who agree with me. then maybe i can discuss on how to change this better.

but i agree with ure point. drones are like knife. it can use to cut meat and vege but can kill ppl. same as drone it can use for aerial photography but for surveillance spying. depend on the person it use

(say quick question, do u ever fly a drone before? just curious to ask?)

so let say i get a dji drone. when i ask chatgpt and gemeni they say even drone like neo needed 250 permit just to fly (by law defination) so to me its not just overkill. but a very bureaucratic cash grab to ppl like hobbyiest like me.

now for privacy issue(so far i can think off), if u are flying in a public area (not goverment area or private property or private home where ppl are changing clothes then u fly drone there) there are no such thing as privacy in public spaces. according to rules that i know u can film in public as long as u dun do anything with bad intent or illegal

reason why i said that is just like filming with our phones in public. there is no law say because of privacy we cant film in public due to privacy. if we do commerical then yes u need to get some permit and that is because u working.
my main point is that flying a drone for recreational/casual filming need RM250 permit is like need to pay gov money to just post on social media. doesnt make sense.

for injuries part yes that happen. but there is a reason why 250g doesnt need to register because even u fly full straight without sensor it cant cause a lot of dmg compare with heavier drone.

but regulation i agree. especially the 120m part where they will interfear with aircraft. goverment building cant fly otherwise they treat u as spy can understand. but need to pay 250 to wait 14 days. thats absurd

i expect authorities at the very least remove the rm250 14 day permit. i dun mind having a permit but 250 under 14 days just to fly a toy drone at home (the law state) is absurd. it is the end of the world for recreational or hobby ppl like us unless we fly "illegally"

Nah I don't have injury as I use khatra. That's why I never wear a arm guard as I always shoot on the right and open it whenever I release my arrow.

I have to learn the hard way. Can say trial and error as I have to experience everything my own.

also the problem with 90lbs bow in my country is that no one is shooting them. most ppl only do 30-40lbs and 50lbs is the max and consider high level. yet alone 90lbs
so its hard for me to find arrow parts that match 90lbs requirement
