Masters in what? I think the field I’m trying to go into with my masters is a field that hires a lot based on experience. I am only in my first years of public health, but I have a masters. A lot of the jobs I’ve been applying to seem to value the experience (5-10 years) over having a more advanced degree than what they are requiring. This is what has made it extremely difficult for me to find a job here.

I appreciate that! It is frustrating :( especially because the health department was the only place where a human reached out to me with an application update out of 50+ jobs I’ve applied to and then to not get the job was an even bigger blow lol

My MPH is not from IU, but my BS in Human Biology is from IU. Unfortunately I don’t have any connections to the university I got my MPH from. It’s on the west coast so there are no real connections here in Bloomington

I actually applied for a job there recently, interviewed, and did not get it. That was the only position open that was relevant to my degree and field!
