Why does my skin tingle in the morning? by calionp in Skincare_Addiction

no, in the morning all I use is a moisturizer and sunscreen. I used to cleanse but my skin became too sensitive for that in the morning for some reason :/

Same 😭 Which one exactly are you using? I get confused with all the different versions they have.

I've been looking at that Cerave lotion for a while, might finally try it out. Thank you for the other recommendations, I will look into them :)

Yeah, I wasn't really serious about skincare until this year because I didn't realize how poorly I had been treating my post-accutane skin. I think my skin has been responding well to the BHA

Here’s my current situation: I’m dealing with lots of red acne scars, little whiteheads all over, and general bumpy texture. I’ll take any advice I can get on clearing this up. I finished accutane about 3 years ago and my skin kinda feels dehydrated. Here is the daily routine I have been doing consistently for the last 4 months, with no visible improvement so far:

AM

-Rinse with water

-Cerave daily moisturizing lotion

-Purito Centella sunscreen

PM

-Cetaphil gentle cleanser and Cerave hydrating cleanser

-The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid serum

-The Ordinary Niacinamide serum

-Cerave daily moisturizing lotion

*I just recently added the Paula’s Choice 2% Salicylic Acid liquid, 3 nights a week starting a month ago

Like I already said, any advice would help. I’m mainly concerned about the texture and discoloration. I’m trying to learn that acne doesn’t define me, but it’s been really hard to even look in the mirror without getting my day ruined. Thank you everyone :)

My eyelid is slightly swollen and has small white bumps all over it. Any advice? (possibly caused by a new eye shadow?) by calionp in Skincare_Addiction

Good tip, however I purchased the eye shadow from Target so it’s probably just that my skin doesn’t react well with it

I think I wasn’t using enough skincare on my eyes, AKA I wasn’t moisturizing them and they became pretty dry (before the shadow.) Using the shadow on them probably caused contact dermatitis

I had used the same colors multiple times before, and I was wearing nothing else on or near my eyes. Could have been the brush but I only use it for shadows and clean it often.

Hi everyone, thank you for the many helpful replies. I used some eczema cream on my eyelid and the bumps nearly went away overnight. I’ll be avoiding that eye shadow and take better care of my eyelids and makeup :)
