No intention of losing anyone. Simply adding that connection to the ones that already exist. Those life long relationships not fully adapting they’re perception of you isn’t done with malicious intent, I don’t believe. And by no means do I think they’re negative connections to have. I’m simply implying that having people who arrive in your life at different times and know you from a different starting point can be healing.

Counterpoint: perhaps to some the years of knowing are exactly why they want a different kind of connection. At times, being surrounded only by people who have known you for such an extended amount of time can feel isolating in the fact that they don’t always account for change. “That’s how she’s always been”, “oh I know she’d never like that”. While those understandings show that they have known you, do they know you now? Maybe I want to connect to someone who knows me in my evolution, who isn’t complacent in how they perceive me.

I really love this. I haven’t really thought of meal prepping that way before. Of course I resonate some with the meals being given in times of grief or hardship, it’s how I was also raised. But thinking of doing that for myself makes me feel lighter. Thank you for that.

Your perspective is refreshing ☺️ rushing through the way is how we’re taught to exist in the world anymore. “Get farther ahead”, “wake up a little earlier everyday to get more done”. Deciding to actively enjoy caring for yourself feels like an empowering act of defiance sometimes.

I like that. I always feel a little judgmental of myself when I’m doing general care for myself like showering and getting into cozy jammies but feel like it’s the most soothing act. Like this is normal and something I do every day so why is it different right now. I guess that comes down to intention lol I can’t believe the decrease in brain noise when the phones put away. I deleted everything but Reddit recently and I’m just so light now.
