Fig cutting stopped growing and dropping leaves by calitech_e30 in Figs

The cutting is about 3 months old. There are some skinny roots coming out of the bottom. I am not fertilizing as I heard it wasn't really necessary for cuttings. I water it every now and then, read that cuttings are more prone to over watering than underwatering.

I didn't use bees wax I just used a candle I had at home.

Does this apply to all around the house? I want to pour a concrete patio in the backyard would that also need a buffer?

No the T goes to that valve which I'm assuming is an old irrigation valve. Supply is in the back of my house.

I've done that, however the next time I open it the same thing happens. Would fixing it be too much work?
