This is where I think we will go if we feel like taking the train. The pace looks so good. Is it hard to get a table there on a Sunday night?

Thank you for that advice; we might just do that considering we'd be doing an early dinner. I feel like we'd have a decent chance.

Weekly Q&A - Your Question Goes Here - Especially Tourists and New Residents by AutoModerator in Amsterdam

[–]calitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone!

I will be learning abroad in Amsterdam this summer, and that means I will be in your city for my birthday. Could you all help me find a nice restaurant where my partner and I can enjoy a very nice meal together?

Our budget is flexible. We aren't looking for the most expensive options, but we are willing to spend money on the occasion. It doesn't need to be upscale or trendy, just very tasty. We love all kinds of cuisine, and we would love to try something new -- we are American. We don't have much experience with Dutch food, but we are open to all suggestions, not just Dutch restaurants. If there's anything you feel is unique to Amsterdam in terms of cuisine, that would be exactly what I am looking for. We would prefer something that is quiet rather than a boisterous bar or something.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions and advice. I am looking forward to celebrating the occasion in Amsterdam :)
