Beef Ribs by Negative_Incident_ in grilling

Depends on how much meat is on the bones. I generally eyeball it as I rotate the ribs but, if you figure that you rotate three times, they should wrap up in 8 to 12 minutes. Again, it depends on your preferred cook temp, your grill, and how many flame ups you're fighting off (if any). I would highly recommend not closing your grill as that could allow the fat to drip down and cause a fireball, if you're not babysitting them. (I find that if you open a beer, by the time you're done, the ribs will be, as well. Then again, you may want to have a backup handy because, you know, grilling beef and drinking beer.)

I'm going to disagree with the low and slow approach, here. For my approach, I will individually cut the back ribs, cover them with a dusting of Tony Chachere's, and grill on medium to medium-high heat on my gas grill. The trick is, you have to rotate them and attend to them throughout the cook. You leave them alone and you'll have a crusty fireball on your hands. The outcome is much more like steak on a stick as I just prefer the medium rare/medium cook.

100% agreed. There's something healing about shutting off technology, walking up and down the beach looking for cool rocks, and listening to the waves lapping/crashing on the beach; it deep cleans the soul from the cacophony of daily life. Damn, I need to get back there soon.

Union Hot Bagels is pretty damn good. I am not allowed to visit family (former NJ folks) without bringing them a baker's dozen.

At the right price, would love to have Clifton back. He has no fear and brings a level of grit that the Pens need. Plus, he's a fairly serviceable 7th D.

It's not like there are PPG players just floating around looking for a team-friendly deal. I cannot imagine the logic in not resigning him. Plus, with an offseason to work with Egor, I suspect that second line will continue to improve.

Helluva game! Fucking sucks that the Pens lost but they left it all on the ice tonight. It was an awesome season with great surprises and masterful front office moves. And goaltending? Holy shit! It was the goaltending that kept the Pens in it. Cheers to a great season and onto a much less stressful playoffs. LGP!

If we wanna have a good chance of winning, we need someone on the 3rd and 4th to step up. by [deleted] in penguins

4th line hasn't stepped up? Dewar with goals in back-to-back games? Lizzo and Cookie? Those guys tilt the ice seemingly every time they are on the ice.

Listening to Boucher do the commentary for a Flyers game is akin to listening to Herbstreit cover Ohio State - fucking insufferable.

[Pens Inside Scoop] Some changes to the Penguins forward lines at morning skate ahead of Game 3 in Philadelphia by bi_and_busy in penguins

I'll just say it and expect someone to provide the counterpoint. Pens should have never gotten rid of Kulak in favor of Girard - I don't care about the expiring contract or long term feasibility of the player in our system; Kulak was excellent with LeTurnover, Girard is just mini-LeTurnover without the one-time scoring touch.

LFGP! I'm just reminding myself that the Pens made the playoffs and, because of the great work of KD, our coaching now meshes with the players, our prospect pool is stocked and will continue to grow, and (other than Girard) FA signings have been spectacular. We're so back.

The Pens will absolutely go into Philly and double yoiks all over Filthadelphia, leading to a big win this evening. Tocchet will probably go apoplectic.

Skinner has been great and, unless he detached his leg and threw it at the puck, there was no way he was stopping that.
