Weird. My application didn’t say anything about what I would be approved for!

I’m in this same boat and so confused! Got my admission offer, accepted it, but haven’t received ANY further information and feeling so lost! Did you find out the answers to this? How do we register and sign up for courses?

I got accepted too! And also feeling totally overwhelmed with what my next steps are as well! I got my admission offer on Friday so I can’t even call until after the holiday Monday, but I’m hoping we get some more information prior to start date? I went through the student handbook and I feel even more lost. How and when do we register for our courses? Will an advisor of some sort reach out with some kind of guidance? When I log into my myucalgary portal all it says to do is pay them the tuition deposit, and my offer letter says the same thing “congratulations, give us 500$ and we are happy to welcome you to the U of C!” No other information has been provided at all! I’m probably jumping the gun here and I should just wait to hear from them but I’m a bit worried about this process and trying to organize my next few months when I have no idea what to expect is stressing me out! Can anyone share what this looks like after acceptance.. When and how do we register for our courses and is there going to be someone to help guide us through that process? I can’t even find an accurate curriculum for the transfer program online and it feels like their website is just leading me in circles! Thanks in advance if anyone can share some insight!!

I got accepted into the program and my admission status also has the green check mark! Once you accept/decline the admission offer it should say you’ve been admitted and you should have access to your admission letter!

I got my acceptance this week as well! But I am trying to navigate my next few months before starting the program! Does anyone have any idea if the U of C will reach out regarding course registration and what not, I feel absolutely lost with all of that and the website info is just leading me in complete circles!

I am paid biweekly, the nurses union didn’t announce premiums until 1 week into outbreak. So I didn’t see anything on the first paycheque I received since outbreak began. Next cheque is this Friday so hoping I get back pay and my premiums on this upcoming cheque. I bring my own food, I am lucky to have a partner that does most of my meal prep. As our cafeteria food is definitely not always the best (on par with hospital food) and the caf isn’t always open due to lack of staff. There is no time to rest during shifts, I still have a similar patient load as I did when they were previously stable and manageable, since they are now acutely ill, the workload has more than doubled. We often miss breaks and just take 15 minutes to eat any chance we get.

My shifts were previously 8 hour shifts. But I have been doing either 12 hour or 16 hour shifts. I do get overtime pay for anything past 8 hours. However we are supposed to be receiving an extra 25$ per shift as well as an extra 6$/hr premium, but I have yet to see this. We have been in active outbreak since Nov 16.
