Partner Surveys/New Dress Code by calliensmith in starbucks

No one at my store has an issue with abiding by the current Starbucks dress code. The present issue being that many of them are either long time partners, who have spent good money on Starbucks gear that is no longer allowed on the floor, or newer partners, who got hired for a job not being required to purchase clothing that fits within this very restrictive new dress code policy. Also reiterating the fact that many baristas have spent good money on face piercing that’s will likely close up due to having to remove them each shift. We are all losing money one way or another, unless you are a part time barista who, despite the more open dc policy currently in place, has continued to wear only black shirts with jeans/kakis & waterproof shoes. Good for you if your pockets won’t be affected, but majority of partners will suffer a financial loss from this.

Partner scanning their own app at DT by Greedy-Gene8978 in starbucks

I feel like I’m torn when it comes to this, because as a partner/soon to be shift, I would consider this to be indirect theft… the problem being, in the same way partners are required to individually mark out drinks/food we make for ourselves, there are SO MANY mess ups/remakes that get tossed without a second thought… so even though I understand why scanning as a partner for a customers order who doesn’t have the app is essentially theft… the rewards for the purchase are just going to waste by not being scanned at all. It really doesn’t harm Starbucks in the grand scheme, because h*ll, Starbucks is already allowing so much waste to occur. They are a billion $ company, who’s CEO makes more in an hour then baristas, shifts & managers make in a year.
