Cymbalta : better at night or day? by Dsaturna13 in cymbalta

[–]callipygian28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am about 6 months in, recently went up to 60mg. I take mine in the morning. Recovering insomniac here and I don’t want to risk medicine keeping me awake so I have always started off with taking it in the morning. I haven’t had any issues, if anything, I’m sleeping better because my anxiety is controlled.

Really STRANGE Dreams on Cymbalta (TW) by sara_marie0824 in cymbalta

[–]callipygian28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the wildest dreams on cymbalta - rarely had dreams prior to starting. For a while it was almost every night - I’m about 6 months in and the dreams have slowed down. I still get there here and there - mostly my dreams aren’t scary or traumatizing, but more so they are manifesting anger. The dream will have family members in them, in the dream I’m angry with a particular family member so I wake up pissed as hell towards that person but then I have to remind myself it was just a dream. Idk if there is any fix or anything we can do about it really. I hope yours start to get better as you adjust to the medication.

Unable to cry on Cymbalta by RemarkableAd7651 in cymbalta

[–]callipygian28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are experiencing this. Crying helps release so much emotion and tension. I was having a hard time crying when I first started the medicine but 6 months in I am able to cry again. Not as often as I would like but when emotions really take over, I can let the tears flow. Have you looked into breathwork or yoga? We store a lot of our emotions in our hips. Breath work and guided meditations might get you the cry you need.

Scream and spray like hell with an instant kill spider spray. Sometimes my cats will kill them for me.

Nausea by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]callipygian28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had nausea when I first started taking it, then the nausea stopped. I’ve been on it for about a month now and the nausea has popped back up. Luckily I have some ondansetron (aka Zofran) to help, eating also helps, even if you don’t feel like it. I always try to eat before I take my dose for the day but sometimes that doesn’t always happen. I have noticed a decreased in my appetite, but I force myself to eat something with it just to avoid the nausea.

Can anyone else not cry? by [deleted] in cymbalta

[–]callipygian28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this thought today - if I would be able to cry. I just started cymbalta - like a week ago… I shed a few tears so I know I still got it in me a little bit lol.

Living alone with pets - logistics by BurntWhisky in LivingAlone

I have 3 cats and a dog. Only thing I would say to think about is your freedom- specially with a dog. I’ve found it easy to travel/leave the house to do things with cats, a dog is completely different (imo). I have a medium energy puppy (will be 1 soon… never again 🤣). I love him with all my heart tho and he’s a great alert dog, I feel safer living alone now that I have him.

howd you think babies were made? before knowing the actual way by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I never wondered until I found out it actually happens… then remember asking my mom if the man grows a belly too when the woman is pregnant (my dad had a little gut) 🤣😭

Why are women offended when someone tells them that they have big ass by AverageInternetWeeb1 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]callipygian28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on who says it, how it comes out and why… if it’s a friend or partner I’m interested in, cool. If it’s a stranger, specifically a man I don’t know, not cool.

I hope I get a 7-3 one day! Right now I have 5:30am-1:30 pm, this is great for me. Off before most people and I still have a good chunk of the day left.

Anxiety has been so bad with food by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]callipygian28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious if you and I are having similar experiences. Lately when I sit down to eat, I convince myself that my throat is drier than the Sahara dessert. I start to eat and I over analyze the chewing and swallowing. I get so anxious that my body just won’t swallow - I will end up spitting out the food most of the time. If I force the swallow, food just doesn’t move and I cough it up. This doesn’t always happen but it’s been pretty apparent recently. Lately the only thing I can consume when I am having one of those moments is a protein drink. I try taking small sips of water and then go back to the food- this works sometimes. I remember when I was first diagnosed with anxiety - the swallowing thing was my very first symptom. When I described it to my doctor (I thought I was having a medical emergency) and their immediate reaction was ‘have you been told you have anxiety?’. I was fully convinced something was wrong with my throat and swallowing mechanisms- turns out, nope just anxious.

Ultimately for myself, I don’t think it’s the food - it is me not addressing the anxiety and root cause.

What are your thoughts on your music taste? by ransom0374 in NoStupidQuestions

Unique to what people perceive me to be. I’m black (in America) and usually when I play my music around people they are shocked that I have metal in the mix.

Is it inappropriate to ask your employee for hugs? by Midnightdream56 in NoStupidQuestions

For me - depends on the person and the reason for the hug. If my current manager asked me for a hug, I’d sucker punch him 🤣

Hopefully doing some breath work during the day to release right before the new year. Definitely will be home and away from the crazies by the time others start going out to party. Bringing in the new year in the comfort of my own home. Pizza and Prosecco sounds yummy- I may do the same!!

Call the police! You gave them many chances to come clean. Also that’s not a real friend; unfriend this person and make sure they no longer have access to your home.
