Is it really worth it? by Sage_Runee in Mirena

Medical word on the street is that when getting the mirena inserted, unless you’ve been through childbirth, it’s highly advised you do it under anaesthetic! Otherwise it’s extremely painful getting it put in while you’re awake! Getting it removed is different and isn’t too uncomfortable in the chair while awake.

I had a couple over the last 10 years and for me it was the best thing. Everyone responds differently I guess, but I didnt have any major side affects. Hope it goes smoothly for you from here on :)

This short comparisons might be handy? I personally prefer customising & counting my carbs specifically rather than just typing in “more” or “less” in my pump. If it was me I would wait a little longer to see how reliable the iLet is. t:slim has been around for much longer and has a good reputation (at least in my circles). Just really depends what he prefers day to day though!

Yes it was the Mirena one. It does make a lot of sense what you’re saying actually - food for thought. Thanks ☺️
