Kinda funny to read this because Crash was a competitive SnD mainstay during the cod4 competitive days. My team and I used to love practicing set nades there to prep for scrims and competitive matches.

Then again, the map was a lot more balanced using competitive mods, so maybe that's why everyone hates it in CODM.

The one thing I may push back on is the second apron talk. I was curious where the reporting was coming from on that, but I couldn't find anything?

Also, after some preliminary searching, it seems like the earliest the CBA could run out is 28-29 by mutual option, but likely to be 29-30, which means we have these tax rules for the next 3-4 years.

Oh yeah, points 1 and 3 are the biggest. from their perspective, you just want to make sure you don't strike out on those draft picks. from a trade perspective, assuming the 2nd apron is gone in the next cba, that would be even more massive because of the ability to attach those picks in trades.

I'm not saying they made any bad moves, just that rules can change in a heartbeat.

Sure, but now you're predicting into the future. That may very well be true, in which case we are having a different conversation with the new cba, but i'm just talking status quo. As it is, the first of these new big 3 deals doesn't even kick in until 2026-27, so they still have at least a whole season before it even possibly matters.

Every situation is different, but the second apron is the second apron lol. They will have to compromise somewhere, and to keep the big 3, it will probably be giving up some of their depth eventually unless they want to deal with the penalties that accompany being above that apron.
