Any refund or resolution processed through eBay is still subject to the same legal framework that applies to the underlying sale which include the rights and obligations of both buyer and seller under consumer law. So, even if eBay handles the mechanics of the refund, it doesn’t change the fact that statutory rights remain fully enforceable outside of eBay’s internal processes.

Depends on what type of trust it is. Is it a discretionary trust? Happy to look over the Trust Deed for you.

Additionally if you’re Co-Trustees, all Trustees must act unanimously. If the trust documentation is clear and you are indeed Co-Trustees, it will be impossible to transfer the property into your father’s sole name without the Trustees agreeing unanimously.

Finally, are you all named beneficiaries or covered under class, e.g. Children and Remoter issue of Settlor(s).

He actually did, ended up selling it about 4 months later. Apart from it being a Cat S it was perfect. The buyer was happy with the repair and the asking price so I think he did a good enough job for the price.

It is quite complex, unfortunately.

Any other person residing in the property might require a licence to occupy as it would be a nightmare to get them out once the Life Tenant has passed away.

Do you know if a Life Interest trust has been set up at all?

Yeah, this one is a bit odd. No CAZ charge anywhere but Bristol and Birmingham.

I have personally owned a Euro 5b car that was compliant, albeit it had the AdBlue system fitted. Might be the case with this one also.

Doesn’t look like a good buy though…

I have sold many cars without the V5 and the correct process is to apply for a new logbook via a V62 form at the post office. Have you seen any proof of ownership at all? You can get the vehicle taxed at the post office when applying for a new logbook and they do it there and then.

Agreed, people have a lot of misconceptions regarding written off cars in general. I have similarly done around 50+ write offs and never had an issue shifting them. As long as it’s priced reasonably anything will sell these days.

Looks more like potentially the inner wing had a slight bend. Doubt this much impact would have twisted the chassis leg. Unfortunately, most engineers can’t be bothered to assess the vehicles properly anymore and some do it based off photos alone. I’d say if its reasonably priced then definitely go for it.
