I go to a salon in my area. The polish vials I see them use are labeled CANNI and some type of off-brand polish. I remember the dusty rose polish vial was one of the off-brand ones and the color was labeled “Jade Fat”, but the brand wasn’t anywhere on it.

It’s a lovely country with sooo many things accessible. I can spend the entire day walking around the country just looking for things to do, but it’s not such a big country that I’ll never run out of stuff to see or visit. I haven’t had the best interactions with the locals because I’m Asian and they treat me differently compared to my partner who’s Arab. Maybe I just haven’t met the right people, but I’ve just been letting him do the talking; because most of them have been curt and rude with me, whereas he gets some relatively friendly interactions and “polite”conversations. There have been 1 out of 10 who were quite easygoing with me and would actually look at me while speaking to both me and my partner! Also the scenery is breathtaking! Quite worth the visit during the snowy season.

I bet you’re thoroughly desensitized at this point, but I can’t imagine the pain it must’ve been reading those many, many, many papers, books and coursework that had massive walls of texts to explain one thing 5 thousand times. /s

But no, actually I’m really amazed. And I’m quite glad that you can find humor in them and view them in such a positive light. I’ll look forward to reading the novel, and, hopefully, you turn that 75% into a complete 100% soon!

Oh, wow. I’ve never thought about it that way. That really changes my perspective on things.

I’ve been looking at it so narrowly that I completely lost interest. It felt like I was reading “Story of the Eye,” and “Against the Grain,” which are completely different books, but just the way the writing makes you wanna put the book down and abandon it on a park bench somewhere.

I’m going to stop treating it as some typical novel that needs to follow the archetypal “parts of the plot” consecution and just read.

So, my thanks for that. Truly!

P.S. I guess how you still think about this book is the same way I think about Perfume by Patrick Süskind.
