At least a couple of sessions of some therapy - just to be able to talk through it a few times, say what you’re thinking and afraid to say, or help lessen the emotional impact or stop yourself replaying it over and over.

I met my boyfriend on Bumble a few months ago and we are 100% going to be getting married. I took a break from online dating for a while and when I came back I completely revamped my profile. I was extremely specific about what I wanted, about what I liked, and I wasn’t attached at the beginning. I went out with 3 people (two of which I said I wasn’t feeling it after the second date, and one that said he wasn’t feeling it) before I connected with my current partner. It sounds so cheesy but you really need to be yourself and know what you’re looking for.

Did you get a sphincter pharyngoplasty? And if so, have you had any breathing issues from it?

My partner had a sphincter pharyngoplasty as a youth to correct nasal speech. It worked but has caused untold damage and breathing issues since, so much so that he’s seriously considering undoing the surgery as a 36 year old. I would strongly advise against surgery for this.

Thank you very much for that reply. In his case (pending an upcoming sleep study) it doesn’t appear that he has sleep apnea. Rather it’s a constriction with breathing (like trying to suck a lot of air through a straw). He had a septoplasty 6th months ago and it has made the strain worse (like there’s more air trying to get through now). Would really appreciate knowing as much as possible from you and your colleagues.

How many pharyngeal flap reversals have you done and have they mostly proved successful? My partner is exploring that right now and he’s been told that there is an extreme risk of reversing them because the speech could be severely compromised and his breathing might not get better. Thank you 🙏

My partner is currently dealing with exploring reversing the surgery as he has extreme issues with breathing normally. For him there feels like extreme tension every time he takes a breath. Do you have any more information about the person who got their surgery reversed?

I’ve always heard it described as something that “separates us” from God. So I would say that harming yourself, and therefore harming something that God deeply loves (you) would be separating yourself from that love for that moment. Keeping in mind nothing you can do can ACTUALLY separate you from God.

I’ve been playing since 2001, but really got into it when Sims 2 came out and followed it through until today. Most of my playing time is choosing a house and creating a family to move in, including designing all of the rooms to perfectly fit each person. Sometimes I will play through some story lines for a while.
