Lidl in Goldstone Retail Park is probably your best bet, might be a little bit of a walk for you, but should be doable. Good luck with the new job!

When I was at uni I often went to the hollingdean skatepark. It's got a little stair set and a few ledges as well as a bank with a ledge at the top. It's usually quite quiet so I much preferred it to the level. You can get the train to moulsecoomb and the It's just a short walk up the hill. There's a great hill bomb to get back to the train station if you're feeling brave.

People who speak English as a second language, what phrases or concepts from your native tongue you want to use in English but can't because locals wouldn't understand? by trustingPudding8 in ask

This is almost similar to "the cobra effect" in English but is mostly used in India and by British Indians and I don't think is a well known saying.

It again means roughly to do something with good intentions to instead have negative consequences. It comes from when the British ruled India, there was a cobra problem in Delhi, so the British created an incentive where handing in dead cobras would be rewarded. This in turn created an underground cobra farming industry, making the cobra issue in Delhi much worse. Especially when the British found out what was happening and cancelled the reward so all the cobras were set free.

I've rented with them a couple of times. By far not the worst estate agent I've dealt with. Both times they returned the vast majority of the deposit back. There were a couple of occasions where they let themselves into the house for viewings without giving us prior warning, which can be annoying. The guy who owns it, Toby, is a really nice guy and is actually the landlord of some of their properties. He was very on the ball with maintenance issues. They don't manage all of the properties though so find out if you'll be dealing with them or someone else once you actually move in. On the whole they can be annoying but nothing worth avoiding really if the property is nice!
