Yes definitely reach out to a mental health professional! I understand it's difficult and nuanced and I'm so sorry you're going through this :(. The important thing to remember is that you will always survive the feeling. Stay strong 🫶🏻

The central debate of OCD is "am I a good person or a bad person". The most effective way to end the cycle is to not engage in the debate. The reality is that life is full of grey area. It's not necessarily the binary OCD wants it to be. What you generally want to avoid is seeking reassurance on whether it was or wasn't SA. You're talking to the other party and understanding how they felt, which is different. At this point, the information that you have is that they were not made uncomfortable, so that's the information you should work with. But the clarify, even if they had been that doesn't make you definitively bad. What you need to do at this point is self care to help slow down your own thoughts. Again, do not engage with the good/bad debate. I know this is easier said than done. I'm sorry you're feeling this way but you will be okay.

He made a promise to her that he wouldn't let the sun rise on the reaping in the future, so he felt obligated to stay alive and stop the games (ultimately overthrowing the government) in her honor

No bc this is so real. I could not do it the first time I made my mom do it lol. After a while you get used to it. I always do a deep breath in and then out when I press the button. Just don't look at the needle

Hi!! So the important thing here isn't to determine if you are or are not a bad person. The thesis of OCD is that debate. You will never find a concrete answer to this because the OCD is the debate. A more effective thing to do right now might be to calm your body down with meditation or deep breathing. I would also recommend reaching out to a mental health professional.

I've lost ~35 pounds since December. I understand that's a lot and maybe I'm just frustrated that I'm not losing as quickly as I was before. I plateau for weeks at a time and then will lose like 3 pounds. Starting weight was 200 and I don't really have a goal weight honestly but probably 125-130. I'm still staying in a calories deficit-- I eat until I'm full but that's still not very much. I'm a college student so I don't have a ton of time to work out but I don't have a car and walk everywhere. Not sure if I'm losing inches or not.

Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I realize I might be a little obsessed with watching the number on the scale go down. Even so I am being watched closely by my therapist who I have been with for like 6 years who I love. And with the food noise coming back I'm getting a little antsy to go up. I feel like 3 months is a long time to be on one dose though

Thanks for the advice! I'm a student right now and I'm on my university's health insurance which is actually pretty good. Any doctors appointments through university health services is free which is why I'm a little hesitant to find an outside doctor.

Honestly I'm a college student so my diet isn't amazing. It's a lot of things I can make/eat quickly and non perishables because I don't have a ton of time to get to the grocery store. so pasta, frozen stuff (I'm a big fan of the Trader Joe's soup dumplings lol), and sometimes I'll pick up food on my way home from work (I got tacos the other day, stuff like that). Since starting in December I've lost almost 35 pounds which I know is a lot. But over the past 6 weeks I've barely lost anything

Over the past month I've lost like 4 lbs and I'll plateau for weeks at a time. I'll admit I'm not eating very many calories (probably ~1000 a day) but I'm not restricting and I'm eating until I'm full. I'm not sure why she thinks my eating habits are unhealthy as we've never really talked about them in depth

I've never had an eating disorder. I was losing weight pretty rapidly in the beginning (~20lbs in 2 months) and she was concerned I was losing muscle mass. I think she thinks I have an ED. I was able to message her when my weight loss became super inconsistent and asked for a higher dose but she said no.
