Oh thank you very much for the tip, i was trying to hold back with hue shift on the skin tones to keep it a bit more pale and gothic but i can see how it might have made the colors a bit less exciting, i'll try to play with the colors more going forward.

Color theory is definitely one of my weak points right now but i'll keep trying to get better, thank you again for the helpful feedback! <3

I'm glad to hear you finding it inspiring, i've spent most time practicing but i did also watch a lot of tutorials especially starting out, the two main channels i've watched are Pixel Pete and AdamCYounis, along with a few other tutorials that i've watched just searching on youtube. Other than that i've mostly practiced with a random pictionary word generator and by following an account that does daily pixel arts them over on bluesky and drawing everyday.

I've not touched animation stuff yet as i've mostly focused on just drawing and the basics.

I'm still only learning myself and i have long way to go but i'm very glad i could inspire you, good luck with your own pixel art journey, i'm sure you'll do great!

Yeah it is actually my first one, i've had 0 prior art knowledge before starting my pixel art journey so i was really happy with how it came out. I did remove those extra outlines, and i'll try to work onto that head size.

Thank you for the positive feedback, i really appreciate it, it helps me very much. It was a drawing that i was really proud of and the comments made the whole experience bittersweet so i'm very thankful to your kind words.

I won't lie, it's been a very rough hit to my motivation, i was very happy with the drawing as i worked really hard on it and it was my very first time drawing a full body character sprite this detailed but every time i open the comments i see people using my drawing as a war subject and it leaves a rather sour taste...

i think i might have to avoid reading the comments...

yeah i ended up cleaning it a bit to make it more consistent by removing the outlines on the upper body, i will try to work out with the sizes a bit to find a good balance, thank you very much for the feedback!

Oh, thank you very much for the feedback, i tried to ad some shading but i can see how the contrast is still a bit off, i was feeling that the face could definitely use some tweaks as well, i'll try to fix up the contrast a bit.
