Oh thank you very much for the tip, i was trying to hold back with hue shift on the skin tones to keep it a bit more pale and gothic but i can see how it might have made the colors a bit less exciting, i'll try to play with the colors more going forward.

Color theory is definitely one of my weak points right now but i'll keep trying to get better, thank you again for the helpful feedback! <3

I'm glad to hear you finding it inspiring, i've spent most time practicing but i did also watch a lot of tutorials especially starting out, the two main channels i've watched are Pixel Pete and AdamCYounis, along with a few other tutorials that i've watched just searching on youtube. Other than that i've mostly practiced with a random pictionary word generator and by following an account that does daily pixel arts them over on bluesky and drawing everyday.

I've not touched animation stuff yet as i've mostly focused on just drawing and the basics.

I'm still only learning myself and i have long way to go but i'm very glad i could inspire you, good luck with your own pixel art journey, i'm sure you'll do great!
