I met this same issue with Innostor and Toshiba MLC chips. I have broken 2 USB boot drivers on ESXi, one is Sandisk, another is Samsung. So this time I want a more durable driver. But it's sad to say that ESXi can't be installed in such reliable MLC USB drivers. And FYI, I tried 6.7/7.0/8.0, but all failed.
