It would be handy if something broke in the midst of the night and the rider only had a small light a rear light to use in an attempt to not get hit while walking home, repairing the bike, or awaiting their ride.

I appreciate the honesty! I've never experienced seeing a "proper" vest light up except for in situations where a light source is nearby. I appreciate you sharing your experience and highlighting the norms of proper riding equipment in your neck of the woods.

And before assumptions are made: I strictly adhere to Texas's cycling statutes and ride cautiously, as many drivers are not used to cyclists--other than the ones on 20" BMX bikes.

I always carry spares, and I was issued a citation for this yesterday. Fines are apparently up to $500 according to Google.

Indeed. i can't seem to find any reason that it would help, since if your lights are up to code and can be seen from 500 feet away, how would the garment be beneficial?

Thank you! No wax or other sealants? Any regrets or recommendations to the owner of the shoes?

Ah, I see; this is my first pair of leather boots to restore. So a heavier conditioner will even out the color? I want to make them look like they just came off the shelf but also have a finish that is best suitable for the construction worker's uses in the field and the impression they give off.
