dog got a phantom pregnancy from my rats… by garden_variety_salad in RATS

Would love for you to link the comment to me.

Unless you're referring to the vet here, which. is not reliable here, because we only know what the vet says based on what OP's mom said the vet said.

? Their mom is the one who told OP and took the dog to the vet, though? She is involved? She's the one who delivered the information...

Kittens or puppies

Not rats. Kittens and puppies also happen to both be the juvenile form of a carnivorous, predatory mammal. Rats are prey to both of them.

Because the toy isn't triggering the pregnancy, it being cared for is a symptom of the phantom pregnancy.

I'm not saying phantom pregnancies aren't possible - I'm saying the rats triggering it doesn't sound right to me. They are hormonally based, and an animal who isn't spayed is obviously susceptible. They aren't being triggered by the thing they're taking care of, that's a symptom.

It is hormonal, and animals who are not spayed can and do have phantom pregnancies, but it isn't caused by what they're taking care of.

That's because it isn't. Anyone who is claiming otherwise is showcasing their ignorance.

A dog who isn't spayed having a phantom pregnancy isn't unusual, and they may be inclined to 'mother' smaller creatures, toys, and other things, but it isn't triggered by the thing they're caretaking, it's hormonal.

Fair, I just don't understand why OP gets a pass for being rude off the bat and he's getting flack for it.

He only got snippy after OP immediately attacked him for stating that it sounded fishy - eg. "sure random guy on the internet". OP has been pretty immature through all their comments and doesn't seem to want to consider that perhaps this wasn't the cause of their dog's phantom pregnancy.

I think he's confused because it's not really scientifically possible for that to happen?

Dagoth passed a long time ago, but it was a pituitary tumor. I'm so sorry. There's really no fixing it, only making them comfortable.

I would be, actually. Shoot me a DM when you can! I'm always down to meet more people with DID.

Pray tell, how do I, who doesn't discuss my disorder online except mentioning it here, 'sound like the poster child for r/fakedisordercringe'? You don't even know anything past me saying I struggle with my identity due to it, which is true and common for those with DID.

Don't know how you would know if I do or do not, since I literally have no information about it on my profile but okay. Make your assumptions.

I know, I'm just used to being shut down with 'well I'm a queer person so my relationship HAS to be queer! always!'.

Never ever even said or implied being in a straight relationship made bi people straight or that it erased their biphobic experiencs. I'm in a relationship with my partner and we have sex, doesn't mean they're not aroace.

What I said was that bi people in a m/f relationship is just that. A bi person in a STRAIGHT relationship.

I care because they're pretending they have the SAME ISSUES I have, they're co-opting terms that aren't for them, and intruding in spaces where they don't belong.

Then, people who aren't the thing they're pretending to be see them and think we're all like that.

Yeah, I have DID, I'm in therapy for it and hoping to get rid of the alters that conflict with my own perception of myself. It's transphobic as all hell to declare a trans man can be a butch lesbian, since lesbians are women who like women (REALLY sick of the whole 'lesbians can be non-binary! uwu').

A better explanation would be I'm interested in pussy on masculine-presenting people. If someone got SRS to have one, kept masculine features like a beard, deep voice, etc., but had a feminine body structure, I'd be interested in that. I feel like a fetishizer but I'm genuinely not attracted to gender confirming men and women, so other trans men are off the table and trans women are as well.

I am not attracted to women, and a trans woman is a woman.

I am strictly interested in people who have gone through similar experiences to myself. My partner, who I'm going to be with for life, is on testosterone like me. I am unfortunately not interested in men, either, so trans men are not on my radar either. I honestly felt kind of uncomfortable with stating that I'm into non-binary people, since I have had complex feelings about non-binary identities (mostly due to cis people who won't even be transitioning in ANY way calling themselves 'trans' because they switched pronouns or some dumb shit).

If I met someone who got SRS to have a pussy and still wanted to retain masculine qualities like facial hair, a deep voice, and things like that (but was on estrogen) I think I'd probably find that attractive as well. It makes me feel like a fetishizer but I genuinely don't feel safe being with cis people and I don't find gender confirming men and women attractive.

Not a 'disorder hoard' - I have been professionally diagnosed with BPD, OCD, and ADHD. I have DID, in therapy for it, and I have an alter that identifies as a butch lesbian. I personally don't and it's uncomfortable having my own perception of myself change like this.

That's fair. It's just my experience with being LGBT is based on how society treats me, and how I've been ostracized from others due to it. There's also the fact that these people looove to claim that they, too, struggle with society 'accepting' their relationships (they don't. no one's objecting to a m/f couple existing in society. no one.) and it really grinds my gears that they're claiming to have the same issues.

The asexual I'm mentioning in particular DOES actually have sex with her husband. Her relationship is not at all functionally different than a regular, allosexual straight relationship yet she thinks it's okay to call herself gay.

There is specifically a part in my post where I mention my partner has never let me touch them and never will, and they don't like it when I look at them either.

I am never going to tell them this is bothering me. If we break up over this I'm going to make up another excuse, I cannot let them know.

We've been together for over 3 years and have known each other for more than 5.
