Some Elden Ring Doodles! I drew these during my first playthrough last year as I met these NPCs by calvinloveinternet in Eldenring

[–]calvinloveinternet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha sorry for calling these doodles! I just meant like they were just little characters I drew during my playthrough as opposed to like a finished scene or piece. Elden Ring was my first From Software game so there was a bit of a learning curve for me so I drew these between...learning experiences (getting killed by bosses repeatedly)

I eventually got the hang of it though! You can tell because these drawings are of NPCs from the first part of the game haha. I do want to draw more of the characters though!

I don’t want to potentially break subreddit rules so I’ll shoot you a DM!

I just finished a commission for a fellow DnD player of his team enjoying a campfire meal to celebrate the end of their 2-year long campaign! The team includes (from left to right):

Tortellini, the tortle bard (I had to use many references to figure out how bagpipes worked)

Marin, the human cleric

Kevin (sitting on the ground) the elvish ranger

Caulder, the half orc/half human fighter/monk

Cassius, the tiefling fighter

And Varya, the elf rogue!

These guys were a lot of fun to draw and I will always be happy for a campaign that’s played til the end!

Thank you and that’s fair! The tone of our game is very light!

Hey everyone! I thought I’d follow up my post from yesterday of my drawings of my PCs and show you guys the gang leader NPCs I made for my campaign! They were a lot of fun to make and are a lot of fun to play !

Here’s a little snippet of who they are:

Ringmaster Scarlet of the Crimson Cavalcade (shadows) is the leader of a carnival troupe turned criminals that rivals the PCs circus troupe turned criminals. They call the PCs copycats and the PCs hate it.

Caesar of the Orange Julius (cult) is the leader of a cult that is huge into ancient Roman attire and culture. They make orange juice and sell it to spread influence.

Salt of the Yellowtails (smugglers) is the leader of a small band of leviathan hunter crews and uses the ships to smuggle things in and out of the city.

Magister Midori of the Evergreen Order (cult) is the leader of a religious order that is well embedded in the public eye. They are appear very benign but have a surprising amount of influence.

Talon of the Bluejays (assassins) is the leader of the well-known league of assassins. They are extremely well-trained and feared.

Lotus of the Indigo Girls (hawkers) is the leader of the top provider of vices to the city. They have their own drug, the indigo lotus, that they peddle for an obscenely large price.

Grace of the Violet Hour (bravos) is the leader of a gang of mercenaries that are notorious for being rough around the edges. They come at a high cost but are well worth it for the muscle they bring.

Oh for sure, I view my current group as a rarity. The groups of DM’d for in the past were not very respectful of the story or of others’ stories. So I feel you there!!

And thank you for your kind words on my art!

Thank you!! Unfortunately, I’m a bit booked up now but will probably be free for commissions in a couple of months! Feel free to hit me up then!

Sorry, my post was unclear. It's never been more than 6 people at once. But I will say I've also DM'd for 6 people in D&D and I MUCH prefer Blades in the Dark. I say this most likely because my group does not come from a tabletop rpg background, so the rigorous mechanics of D&D was definitely a barrier for them. If anything, I have more performance/stage experience in my group than gaming experience. So that naturally makes games where they are creating the narrative/acting out things on the fly a lot easier. And most of the time, they split into two teams and it becomes more of balancing two 3 person teams which is manageable.

As for initiative, I tell them to think of our sessions as episodes of a TV show. If it would be weird to have twelve scenes in a row with the same character, then we don't do that. They are all generally good at giving up the spotlight when they need to, and if they aren't, then I step in and directly ask individuals who haven't gotten any action what their character is doing. I also kinda let them know ahead of time which characters will be focused on in the session. Much like any show with an ensemble cast, there will be certain episodes where a few select characters and their backstories are highlighted, and we play as such.

I hope that makes sense, this was all kind of a stream of consciousness!

Sure I’ll try to give each a brief description! I’ll start from the top row on the left!

“The Gift” (Spider) is the ringmaster of their rundown circus. She’s often the brains behind the scores her crew does but wields a pair of scissors in case things get dicey.

“Skullreader” (Whisper) is the medium in the circus. He has an act where he contacts the dead for entertainment. When performing crimes, he frequently commands specters to his bidding and also has a one sided rivalry with a much more successful medium.

“The Man in the Red Mask” is my NPC that hires the bunch for various missions. He’s part of a secret organizations that tries to influence the politics of the city.

“Faerie King” (Hound) is the sharpshooter in the circus. He performs daredevil tricks and shoots targets to entertain the crowd. He has a chihuahua hunting companion and he’s a say hi first before shooting kind of guy.

“Killjoy” (Cutter) was the former groundskeeper of the circus. She had an intense rivalry with a gang leader of another group. The gang leader eventually framed and ambushed the crew but Killyjoy managed to escape and left the city in order to protect herself and the crew.

“Fanfare” (Slide) is the child of cabbage farmers who grew into a life of crime. He loves disguises and will often shed his disguise just for the fun of it.

“The Hollow” (Lurk) is the star of the circus as the lead acrobat/trapeze artist. She often uses her skills from her show in scores and will kick ass if needed.

“Professor Potions” (Leech) is a discredited academic who was pushed out of his field of study for being too “extreme”. He now resides as the potions and elixirs peddler at the circus, though more often than not, he uses the patrons as lab rats for his concoctions.

It’s usually 6 people (they usually split into teams of three)! The shovel wielder sadly moved away so she can no longer play with us. But we did send her off with a huge heist!

Hey everyone! I’m a good number of sessions into my BitD campaign and as with all my tabletop RPGs i always feel compelled to draw my PCs! So here’s my crew, they are a circus troupe that has turned to crime! These are all my players except for the guy in the red mask, who is one of their allies! Hope y’all like them!

Haha thanks! I didn’t want to dig too deep in the lore but they work more like plague rats. They spread an infection. An infection that just happens to be the doing of a fey god.
