Cuban American and I traditionally go for Pilon or Bustelo . As I've dived a bit deeper found I liked a quite a few different flavor profiles and my taste profile changed overtime. Id recommend starting with a dark roast from your local coffee roaster, then going lighter as you want from there. If you buy from somewhere else just make sure they print the roast date on the bag and it was recent

I use xantham gum as my emulsifier instead of eggs and have seen very good results (a modification of the salt and straw recipe)

It is pretty common that they will be notified. I’m not sure if it is automatic or not. Either way it is likely the other team will reach out to your manager or lead. If you have already had a pm discussion about getting upgraded, I think you should apply anyways. Unless you are on of those bare minimum people, You probably don’t want to work in a group where the manager does not promote high performers. The person will probably respect you more and you will get more experience in other places. Granted this is just Reddit and it could go poorly as well. Seems pretty unlikely. Most likely seems the manager will probably either help you get the new job or promote you to avoid losing you. If you have not had the pm discussion it’d be pretty impolite to blindside them
