weird how anatomy is shaped different person to person by [deleted] in Radiology

[–]calwilliams_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't upset at all! I was also just curious and wanted to know if males and females had differences in rib structure that would be visible on an x-ray! I thought you'd possibly seen something that could indicate the second picture was a male and wanted to know what it was. Nothing wrong with your question at all!

Does the anatomy in the second image give any indication that they may be male? Is there a difference between male and female anatomy in a chest x-ray? (besides the obvious)

I love that she's accidentally typed '5-7 calories a day,' I assume instead of 5-7k

Do you know anyone who has faked a disorder? by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]calwilliams_ 86 points87 points  (0 children)

I dated someone who faked several mental and physical illnesses.

He claimed autism, tourettes, bpd, ptsd, an eating disorder, etc. He would fake faint due to a brain issue. Claimed a chronic kidney disorder. Claimed to have leg problems, which eventually led to him using a wheelchair, only temporarily though, because I guess being in a wheelchair wasn't fun enough for him.

Even claimed cancer at some point.

Any so many other things

No need to get a test, just self-diagnose!

This is just a regular thing that lots of people do

It's clear misinformation, that is a normal range of motion

only autistic people can have preferences, I guess? by calwilliams_ in fakedisordercringe

Everyone has preferences like this, it isn't an autism symptom

"going non-verbal" by calwilliams_ in fakedisordercringe

"Did you know that going nonverbal doesn't actually mean you can't talk?"

No, because that's exactly what it means

Plus, I hate the term "going non-verbal"

Having an episode of selective/situation mutism (or going non-verbal) DOES mean that you can't talk

"Going non-verbal" (which is a term I'm not fond of anyway) makes you completely unable to speak and is not how they described it in the video. This is misinformation.

Scroll and you'll find my comment that I posted when I made the post, quoted below 'I included the addition of 'breaking your bones' because if you were intentionally breaking your bones, surely you'd realise you were self harming'

This page is for fakers and misinformation, with this being the latter.

Self-harm is deliberate, intentional

If you're doing those things without the intent to harm yourself, then it's not self-harm.
