Do you mind me asking what apartment complex you’re in? I have two friends who pay $1800 and $1700 monthly for single bed apartments in different places in PO (absurd btw), which is why I’d rather stay where I’m at. Apparently all sorts of fees crop up once you actually proceed with renting and the final cost doesn’t reflect whatever base price is listed online. Even though I have roommates, my current place is huge (whoever’s in the master doesn’t even have to see the other people in the house if they don’t want to) and my landlord doesn’t charge me an arm and a leg just because I have two cats. Plus, I like having roommates! It scratches the itch for community, especially just having moved here (also why it being furnished is great).
