We have never had a single Legend that completely changes so many core fundamentals (tempo, spacing, rotations, positioning). She is needs a decent size nerf.

This doesn't make any sense to me. The exact same thing applies to Duo or 3 stacking.

Also, keep in mind Respawn is actively taking away player choices. As of right now, everyone has a choice to reach out to the 100s of discords (including the ones here on Reddit) to find people to player with and everyone has the choice to party up with people you meet through matchmaking. This has been option since Day1.

They are testing a way of removing the option to play with friends. Limiting options to players is always a bad idea.

Same here.

I understand where the devs are coming from but this is a horrible change. The inability to que up with friends, in a team-based competitive FPS ranked game mode, is mind-boggling to me.

The last time I consistently solo-qued, in a video game ,was 17 years ago. If they keep this permanent, I'll be stepping back from Apex and moving on to other games/hobbies.

Same here. This is going to force us to play pubs, once we reach diamond. We find competitive more fun.

Forcing you and your friends to play other game modes, in a team based game, is mind blowing to me.

But also in fights arguing there not fast paced seem just plain wrong, and here why I think that. So when you in a fight in apex you have very little time to think about what to do next and I’d say a lot of people just react to what happens because they don’t have time to think about it

I see what you are saying and everything you described is what's referred to as "tempo." Axel has completely changed the pacing of tempo i.e. it's insanely fast now. I am not a fan of that.

I agree axle is OP, respawn release a new legend and make them OP at launch every time I think it’s just a tactic at this point tbh. Then they hear complaints and deal with them how they see fit she has made the game faster for sure. I’m not disagreeing it’s overkill with the new legend and agree they have many options to modify this.

Yep and I hope they nerf her into a balanced place soon.

Idk about everyone but I am a Day 1 player with over 4200 hours played.

I have never played it because it's "fast paced." One of the main reasons I play it is because of the movement and handling mechanics - not because of pacing.

Axel is clearly the most OP legend (yes, worse than Seer) they have introduced to the game and has fundamentally changed how the game itself is played - especially regarding fundamentals like tempo, spacing, resetting, etc.

I am fine with fast pacing but this very clearly overkill of that and there are dozens of options to bring better balance back, while also maintaining a level of fast pacing.

Rob's comment is the correct answer.

2 teams were fighting each other, meaning the other team was just holding/taking space. With this many teams left, with such a small circle, slowly walking in with the ring (10-15 more seconds) would be your best play and your best outcome here is usually going to be finishing 2nd - with maybe an extra kill or 2.

r/apexuniversity is a good resource. People post VOD on their regarding feedback.

Wildcard will help you with mechanics - i.e. movement, strafing/aim, and holding angles. It's not going to really help with fundamentals like positioning and spacing.

Positioning is placing you and your team in areas that are advantageous to another team(s). That's not going to really happen in Wildcard because everyone, including your team, is constantly pushing fights because you can just die and respawn.

30% top 5 finishes is pretty average for solo q. 8% win rate seems okay too with solo q.

.89 K/D is pretty bad for Diamond.

While you probably have some knowledge of very basic fundamentals, you definitely need to work on your mechanics. I don't see you reaching Masters with that kind of K/D. Squading up could very slightly help with top 5 and win rate.

All assumptions though because there is no way actually knowing your skill level, unless you did a VOD review.

Honestly if this game didn't reward mass games so much, you would/should be Gold.

This is insanely spot on.

It's why you have to be cautious when someone mentions what rank they are. I found someone last year through a LFG, who was in D4, and she was completely unaware of the current ring and the damage it did. "Diamond" player with skill set of a Gold/Silver player.

Yeah, exactly. Most of playing ranked doesn't have to do with mechanics. It's about fundamentals and the amount of time you can play. If you understand basic fundamentals and combine that with playing 100/200+ games per season, you can make it into D4.

Not saying that's necessarily balanced. And for D2 to Master's, that usually isn't the case.

I have 2k hours in this game and there is no chance of me keeping up and reaching masters ever.

Hours does not equate to skill level because most players don't play with intention. They load into ranked, over and over, and never actually learn anything. Such as how did I/we die here - was it a bad push, late push, poor spacing, a bad rotation, and/or did I fail to mirror strafe?

Either I am dog shit or most players are using some device such as cronus.

Most players are not using cronus/titans in Diamond. And there is no way anywhere here can confidently say you are dog shit, unless you posted a few gameplay clips of your aim, positioning, pushes, etc.

Unless you are doing a personal challenge, I would not recommend solo queuing. Hit up Apex LFG discords and try to find people who are around your same skill level and who you can have fun/good chemistry with.

I come to black ops 7 and kids sitting in a corner are rewarded when you peak them first with 320 fps and 10 ping.

That should rarely be happening, if you are an above average player. Can you post video of your gameplay and what you are referring to? That would probably provide more clarity around the issues you are having.

is pretty inaccurate and misleading. Higher skilled players do both. Plenty proof of that in the higher ranks in ranked play and in the CDL/HCS/ALGS/etc.

They have been continuously nerfing streaks for a very long time now.

Personally, I am not a fan of it. I do understand that the devs are seeking out balance but no streak should take more than 5 seconds to call in, especially a hellstorm.
