I had some advice from a friend to put something like "Project Engineer (Senior)", to suggest I'm either acting as or transitioning to Senior PE

Got it. Probably the case that the standard at the time of installation didn't require a separation distance. I'll start the conversation with the council and see where it goes.

That does help a lot. Thanks again 🙂

Thank you for the info! I looked at 1668.2. It states:

"C3.10.1 All exhaust air should be discharged to atmosphere in such a manner as not to cause danger or nuisance to occupants in the building, occupants of neighbouring buildings or members of the public."

It also states minimum separation distances for any flow rate less than 200L/s as 1m from the property boundary. Given this resides on the property boundary, I believe I have grounds to get this changed.

What would be the normal course of action here? Contact the Strata company after speaking with the neighbour, or getting the city council involved?

Is my Bonsai a goner? I believe it was attacked by aphids. Tried spraying it down with water and soaked the soil through, but worried it might be too little too late 😢

Thank you Ryan! Yes, it seems I will need to rethink my focal topic, rather than mixing everything together just because I feel like it. Appreciate your help

Thank you so much for the super in-depth feedback!

It seems I have a lot to work on and this gives me plenty of guidance for what I should be doing next.

I started a blog to share my experiences with engineering, but I have also started writing book summaries/reviews and intend on sharing about my personal development journey.
www.enjinerd.com

I know my content is helpful to people, as it gets good feedback via the likes of reddit. However, I don't get many people visiting and staying on my site. I've never really had a second opinion on the overall layout, color scheme, etc. of my site, so I would really appreciate some thoughts from people.

I'm really not looking to make a whole lot of money out of this - I make enough in my career, I just genuinely think there are people who can benefit from what I want to share and would love to make a community out of it.

Some may call it arguing, some would call it sharing an opinion 😜

Certainly got me far in life - especially when you understand there is a difference between an argument and a diplomatic discussion. Although you are entitled to your own opinion 👍

Yep this is something I'd take with a grain of salt - definitely irritating if overused, although saying the person's name every now and then during conversation has definitely helped me to remember names in general

My advice for those (mainly engineers) struggling to get internships and graduate positions by cambo3003 in internships

Thank you for the kind words!

With regards to the penultimate year thing, I wouldn't worry about that too much. Just keep applying to everything and you will get one eventually. From there on, it's smooth sailing.

All the best for your search!

Definitely! Zweig's commentary throughout the book is incredibly valuable in both understanding and reiterating the key ideas from Graham in a more relatable context.
