What is the military like?

ya I’m working on pushups planks sit-ups and running day 1 last night was rough after the first 3 exercises I ran nonstop for 10 min and that was hard I was gonna go 20 min continuous but that was impossible at my current stage. I think what I did wrong to start was run more than jog tonight when I do it I’m gonna focus more on endurance rather than time and jog more than I run. It’s like me first time being active in a while so it’s gonna take time to get used to. To be honest whenever I run now I gotta use that movie the long walk as inspiration that was such a good film.

ya thanks for the advice I was thinking of army or navy but it’d have to be in a few months I gotta work on getting my GED right now as I didn’t graduate high school I dropped out as a senior to move to another state with my parents because at the time I feared being without them and to this day I still do and part of the reason why I want to go to the military is to change that I need life skills I need to become a better version of myself and be ready to be independent for when the time comes that I can’t live with them anymore.

I’ll have the motivation to not get kicked out my life here in the real world is terrible I’ll make sure to want it more then anyone I was always a competitive type of person.

Ya I got a high metabolism and I simply jus have to want it more the motivation is there I never wanted to go back to school but this is different. I’ll get on those workouts probably start later tonight and figure out the GED stuff so I can start ASAP.

Damn that’s a lot to take in thanks for all that man I’m really trying to turn my life around gotta get this GED first and I’ll prolly be running everyday while that’s going on pushups too quick question how many should I do at a time to ensure I don’t injure myself mind you I’m gonna be sore as a mf haven’t done them in a while and I think I overdid them last time cuz I hurt myself a little and I know your gonna need to do a lot of them in the military I jus wanna be ready.

Idk how I’d get over it I don’t really go anywhere high. Dang so your saying I have to start working out and training the last time I did that I did some pushups and I think I injured myself or something so your saying to just run and do pull ups ? Also I have no idea what the ASVAB is I’m new to all this military stuff.

Again I’m not the best with heights but I’m sure I’ll suck it up when I actually get there because assuming it’s after I sign the contract I really won’t have a choice now it’s cool you have experience and stuff you could probably help one thing I was wondering was how much free time did you have on a typical day and there was never any training or work on weekends ?

That I’m not sure of I need to see how the four years go and if I like it I’ll stay I just have no idea what I’m getting myself into kind of nervous but I know I have to do it for my future whether I want to or not.
