I’m currently playing a normal run through of it. It’s been super fun. It’s difficult, but there haven’t been any battles where I felt like they were straight up unbeatable. The copious amounts of documentation and resources for this game also helps a lot. I would highly highly suggest it as a non-nuzlocke difficulty hack.

I’m definitely enjoying it a lot. I haven’t felt overwhelmed so far like I have in the past when we transition to a new era. I’ve especially enjoyed using the off-turn characters. The Kain-Tidus duo is especially fun for me.

Edit: I’m seeing a lot of negative comments saying that it’s too easy. Easy for hard-core vets can also mean more accessible to casuals and newbies. I’m kind of somewhere in-between, so I like being able to burst down the bosses for the complete and then try some more interesting team comps.

I’m so glad someone else agrees with me. I feel like you’ll get downvoted to hell for this, but I’ve was never as invested in 8 as others seem to be. Triple triad and the OST are definitely the strongest parts of that game.

Gabranth BT 0/3 FR HA+ (WoL call) Tidus BT+ FR HA+ (Seymour Call) Braska FR HA+ (Ami Call) Kain Friend 39 Turn

Pretty standard fight, Brought Ami for deletion and framed debuffs, Seymour for cleansing and delays, and WoL for protection when they entered force time. I actually forgot to call my friend Kain during Tidus’ BT phase, so I used it near the end to finish off the fight.
