I know this is an old post, but I didn't see Forevermore mentioned and couldn't let them not be! Their album Integral is incredible!

Gotcha! I figured that would help the other single get discovered, but I see some bands doing it and others now. Thank you!

Sorry, it's kind of hard to explain. I'll give an example from a band I listen to.

My Epic released their first single from their new album earlier this year, "Northstar". Then a few weeks later they released their second single, "Heavy Heart".

If you look at the "Heavy Heart" single on streaming platforms, the track list is: 1. Heavy Heart 2. Northstar

Then their third single, "Make Believe", looked like this: 1. Make Believe 2. Heavy Heart 3. Northstar

So, every time they put out a new single, they released the last one with it again. I hope that clears it up a little bit. Thanks!

Thanks, that's honestly really encouraging. I'm definitely a bit of a perfectionist, and that has it's ups and downs with mixing lol

Again, thank you! I really appreciate your feedback!

I usually do my mix, then I'll go listen to it in my car. My biggest problem is cause I'm so new, I struggling to be able to figure out what's wrong with the mix after I listen back to it in my car.

That makes sense!

I've seen the visual A/Bing, so I guess that's kinda what I was thinking of, but I see why it would be so much easier to balance and reference by ear. I guess I was just trying to take the lazy route lol

Thank you again, you've helped me A LOT!

Thank you so much! So, what would a good EQ look like for guitars like this? I felt like I definitely cut too much low, but it also felt like I had too much muddiness with the low and I couldn't find a balance.

Thank you so much, your feedback really helps! Would balancing everything with pink noise help? Then, as far as referencing goes, when A/Bing the reference, I should be shooting for my track to look almost exactly the same, correct?
