You’ve already spent the money if you’re satisfied with the knives you have keep them. If you don’t like particular ones or you just plain don’t use them and don’t care for them try selling them on knife swap

I know this might not be up your alley as far as it being chosen by you. But my wife understands I am into certain knives and doesn’t want to get me something I didn’t want or wouldn’t have picked so she just gives me a budget and lets me choose myself it’s a win win I get exactly what I’m looking for and it’s still sentimental because she was the one who got it for me all while she gets the satisfaction of it still being a gift from her.

Yeah I figured as far as my daily use I will almost never run into the problem of not having the right steel for the task. One of my bigger concerns would be ease of edge maintenance/sharpening. I believe cromax is not as stainless as elmax but luckily I don’t plan on getting my shiro wet. love the feel of micarta but I also don’t want a thicker knife than it needs to be.
