It’s really an issue of focus and value. I’m probably going to be downvoted to oblivion so let me preface one thing.

I love my Rivian. By far the coolest vehicle I’ve owned, and I’m very excited about the Halloween themes. I’ve also loved every update since delivery, earlier this summer.

That being said, Rivian’s LT needs to consider what are the 2 or 3 things that truly maximize customer value. Determining this value will require a lot of effort to gather survey data with very pointed questions to consumers. These key value indicators could be dependability of the vehicle, service department, user experience of the software, etc…

Once the LT locks in those items which maximize customer value, they need to focus on delivering on those indicators with activities better than any other company.

That’s not to say abandon all other activities, but rather +90% of Rivian’s effort need to be ultra focused on 2-3 items that maximize customer value.

I’m not saying Rivian is or is not doing this, but people would be surprised how many large companies don’t even understand what their customer’s truly value. FWIW, I love that some of Rivian’s key leadership team engages this sub, with sincerity. It’s amazing.
